What to Expect

Jaya and Zoe, experienced retreat facilitators, will guide you through a nourishing weekend of practices from mindfulness and mindful self-compassion approaches.  Each day will include meditation, Qi Gong and Yoga, walking, silence, reflection and sharing.  We carefully craft our retreats to suit the place and the group, and we include meditations familiar and new with plenty of outdoor as well as free time. Our aim is to share with you practices for awakening the body, mind and heart in an accessible, gentle and fun way whilst drawing on our own varied and considerable retreat experience.

Who is the retreat for?

Participants are likely to have completed an 8-week mindfulness course (eg MBSR, MBCT, Breathworks) and / or practice mindfulness on a regular basis. They may also have taken a Mindful Self-Compassion course (either over 8-weeks or in the 5-day residential format), though this is not a pre-requisite to participating in the retreat. The venue

Charney Manor is an idyllic and peaceful retreat set in the Oxfordshire countryside. Some parts of the manor house date back to the thirteenth century, and with its spacious garden, en suite rooms and full disabled access it combines modern facilities and historical charm. Good traditional home cooked food catering for all diets is provided. It’s about 90 mins drive from London or by hourly train service to Didcot then a short taxi. Cost and booking

The cost of the retreat is £335 which includes en suite accommodation and all meals. (A deposit of £50 is requested to reserve your place, and full payment is due by Jan 4th 2019)

Retreat times: The retreat will begin with supper on Friday and end Sunday tea time. Arrivals from 4.00 pm Friday 8th Feb (supper at 7) departing 4.00 pm Sunday 10th Feb 2019.
